About the author

Judy Powell has always been a lover of learning, starting the first grade at two years and eight months* and checking out her first chapter book from the library by age five ('Ramona The Pest' by Beverly Cleary). By age nine, she had passed nine subjects in the J. S. C. secondary school exams (Jamaica School Certificate).

Judy's favorite hobby is reading. She is forever reading, regardless of the subject - from the sciences, to business, to the humanities, to the arts - whatever she can get her hands on; she'll read the label on the lotion bottle, if there's nothing else available. Forever studying, and in multiple fields, she has a double-major Bachelor's degree (International Business & Foreign Languages - Spanish, French, German) and 4.5 Master's degrees (MA Spanish, MBA Marketing, MA English Literature, MFA Creative Writing and graduate studies for the MLA in Clinical Psychology - Harvard University Extension School). According to Judy, she wishes someone would pay her to study. She would do it till the day she dies. Some people love to relax by watching a movie or listening to music. She relaxes by studying. She loves it that much!

She loves to share her knowledge and so she invites you to come on this journey with her - as she says, "Let's study ourselves to success!"

* Judy was not allowed to move up to the second grade until age six, so she spent three years in grade one. So, never fear - she had a normal journey through primary/elementary and secondary/high school.
