Andrija Puharich

HENRY (ANDRIJA) K. PUHARICH, M.D. (1918–1995), pursued full-time private research into the nature of psychic phenomena. He earned his medical degree in 1947 at Northwestern University. From 1948 to 1958 he was director of research at the Round Table Foundation in Glen Cove, Maine, where he conducted many original experiments in psychic research. He then spent 13 years in medical electronics research and held more than 60 U.S. and foreign patents. In 1968 Dr. Puharich led a team of six doctors and eight paramedical specialists to Brazil for a study of the psychic healer Arigo.
