Elliot S. Maggin

Elliot S! Maggin grew up in New York and has written about dreams and heroes all his life. He started publishing what he wrote when he was 17. He has written several hundred comic book stories, including a 15-year run writing Superman for DC Comics. He has written journalism, novels, television and film for a profusion of publishers and producers. His first two novels, Superman: Last Son of Krypton and Superman: Miracle Monday, both bestsellers, were published concurrently with the Superman feature films of 1978 and 1981. He is 2016 recipient of the Bill Finger Award for Excellence in Comic Book Writing. He was educated at Brandeis and Columbia Univeresities and is the father of two grown superhero children. He lives in Los Angeles.
