Born in Chicago and raised in Detroit, Eric Thomas has reached millions with his story about going from homeless on the streets of one of America’s most impoverished cities to becoming one of the world’s top motivational speakers. In the last year, he has been profiled by GQ, ESPN, and Sports Illustrated. He has worked with corporate teams at Nike, Under Armour, AT&T, Quicken Loans, Procter & Gamble, UPS, and more. Every year, he works with the NFL, NBA, and NCAA as well as dozens of individual teams and players across the country throughout their respective seasons. He has a B.A. in education from Oakwood College, an HBCU in Oakwood, Alabama, and a Masters and PhD in education from Michigan State. Today, he splits his time between Lansing, Michigan and San Diego, California with his wife Dede.
