Gil Troy

Professor Gil Troy is a Senior Fellow in Zionist Thought at the Jewish People Policy Institute, the Jewish people’s global think tank. A Distinguished Scholar in North American History at McGill University, Troy is a leading American presidential historian and Zionist thinker. The author of eight books on the American presidency including The Age of Clinton: America in the 1990s and Morning in America: How Ronald Reagan Invented the 1980s, Troy also wrote five books on Zionism, including the bestselling Why I am a Zionist and The Zionist Ideas, the award-winning Moynihan’s Moment: America’s fight against Zionism as Racism, and, most recently, Never Alone, co-authored with Natan Sharansky. A weekly Jerusalem Post columnist, Troy is widely published throughout North America and Israel. Troy has also been a commentator on various history documentaries, including CNN’s popular Decades series on the ’80s, the ’90s, the 2000s, and, most recently, the 2010s.
