Ingrid de Kok is the author of the celebrated poetry collections Familiar Ground, Transfer, Terrestrial Things and Other Signs. Her poems have been published locally, internationally and in translation, and a volume of selected and new work, Seasonal Fires, appeared in South Africa and the United States. She has been awarded the Carapace/SnailPress Poetry Prize, the Dalro Poetry Award, the Herman Charles Bosman Award, a South African Literary Award and the Ritratti di Poesia Prize from Fondazione Cultural e Arte in Rome in 2019. She lives in Cape Town.
