James Kwak is a professor at the UConn School of Law and the chair of the board of the Southern Center for Human Rights. He is the author or co-author of three previous books: 13 Bankers (a New York Times bestseller), White House Burning, and Economism. Prior to going to law school, he co-founded Guidewire Software. James has an A.B. in social studies from Harvard College, a Ph.D. in history from the University of California, Berkeley, and a J.D. from the Yale Law School. He lives in Amherst, Massachusetts, with his wife and two children.
