James R. Sanders is a freelance fashion editor based in Harlem, NY. The Modè Book is his second publication. He is a regular contributor to Vogue, Glamour, GQ, L’Officiel, and The Huffington Post. He’s covered New York, London, Milan, and the Haute Couture shows in Paris. In addition to writing about events, he’s also interviewed designers on the cusp of their careers including: Kerby Jean Raymond (Pyer Moss), the men from Public School, and Michelle Smith (Milly NY). James is the Editor-in-Chief of BALDWIN, a medium.com publication. In 2018, he wrote about Black Lives Matter and the movement’s influence on modern fashion. He is hard at work on his newest project, a coffee table book with a collection of essays on fashion and personal style. James is also an acclaimed fashion stylist with clients who’ve landed on all the Best Dressed Lists during award’s season. He has a BA in Journalism and an MA in English.
