Jane Baxter

Jane Baxter discovered a passion for cooking while at Leeds University and went on to work with Joyce Molyneux at The Carved Angel, who greatly influenced her culinary style, and at The River Café, which sparked her love for Italian cuisine. She is the author of several award-winning cookbooks, including two Riverford Farm books, Leon Fast Vegetarian, Leon Happy Salads and Leon Fast & Free. In 2016, she founded Wild Artichokes in Kingsbridge, which features an Italian-inspired, vegetable-based, seasonal menu. She continues to cook and develop new dishes in and around South Devon and is involved with the Abergavenny Food Festival.
