John Dee

John Dee was an Anglo-Welsh mathematician, astronomer, astrologer, teacher, and occultist, but mostly he was an alchemist. He was the court astronomer for, and advisor to, Queen Elizabeth I, but spent much of his time on alchemy, divination and Hermetic philosophy.
