Juliet Gardiner studied history atUniversity College London, and wenton to edit History Today. Now a fulltimeauthor and broadcaster, her booksinclude The Thirties: an intimate history,and The Blitz: the British under attack.She was the historical advisor on thefilm "Atonement" and for the BBC'snew series of "Upstairs, Downstairs",and appeared in the BBC series "TurnBack Time: The High Street" and inChannel Four's "The 1940s House".
