Hi! I’m Katrina. When I was a little younger than Terry, Gary, and Larry, I created them to help pass the time doing chores. I told stories about the boys to my brother Scott as we weeded the driveway, worked in the produce patch, or folded laundry. Occasionally, Mom even banned the storytelling because it took us longer to do our work if I was telling stories! For about a decade, I wrote books for adults, including Blue Christmas, Captain Garrison, From the White House to the Amish, and Kidnapped in Haiti. You can browse my books at my online store, as well as in many other stores. Now my husband Marnell and I have a child of our own. Upon the suggestion of my aunt Virginia, I am returning to my own childhood and bringing Terry, Gary, and Larry back to life. My husband lost his leg to cancer as a young boy, so the stories reflect his childhood as well. My husband and I currently live in Elkhart, Indiana, close to the fictional town of Stratford. I named the boys’ town after my hometown in Wisconsin. It is set on the St. Joseph River, right between South Bend and Elkhart. Although it is real in this story, do not come to northern Indiana looking for the town of Stratford. You will not find it!
