Kelly Wood

Kelly Wood has run her urban-farm business, Amaranth Produce, for over a decade. Her three-quarter-acre farm is just a mile from downtown Portland and supplies local restaurants and neighbors with seasonal fruit and vegetables. At home, she keeps a few dozen chickens, several goats, and two honey bee hives. She contributes regularly to Urban Farm and Hobby Farms magazines and has become a prominent voice in the ever-growing landscape of urban farming and homesteading. She lives in Portland, Oregon.
