Ken Bruen was born in Galway, Ireland, in 1951, where he now lives. His many books include "The Killing of the Tinkers", "The Guards", "The Dramatist", "Priest", "Cross", and "The Devil". He was a finalist for the Edgar, Barry, and Macavity Awards, as well as a Shamus Award for "The Guards". Bruen received the Best Series Award in 2007 for the Jack Taylor novels from the Crime Writers' Association.
