Liz Harfull is passionate about telling the stories of regional Australia, its people, communities, histories and traditions. The best-selling author was encouraged to write as a child by Robe historian and author Kathleen Bermingham, who she met when her parents bought one of the town's old stone cottages in the early 1970s. Liz has written three books about the history and people of Robe, as well as two award-winning books capturing the knowledge and traditional recipes of talented home cooks, and the national bestseller, Women of the Land, about women running their own farms. Today Liz lives in the Adelaide Hills, spending as much time as possible in her favourite seaside town where she continues to help capture and preserve Robe's remarkable history.
