Mala Kumar

Mala Kumar is a freelance writer and author of over 40 picture books for children. A former editor with Pratham Books, a not-for-profit multilingual publisher, for over 12 years, she has written several articles for the print media, mostly about education, culture, environment, lifestyle, people and the social sector. She tends to get lost wondering about mighty mountains, forests and rivers, and compensates by talking to buds, leaves and insects in her tiny balcony garden.
