Marcello Di Cintio is a former wrestler and author ofHarmattan: Wind Across West Africa, which won the Henry Kriesel Award for Best First Book. It was also a finalist for the Wilfred Eggleston Prize for Best Nonfiction at the Alberta Book Awards. In 2003, Di Cintio won the Maclean Hunter Endowment Prize for Creative Nonfiction. His travel writing has appeared inGeist,enRoute,Prairie FireandPrism International. He lives in Calgary.
