Michael McMillian

Michael McMillian is an American actor and writer. He was born on October 21, 1978 in Colorado Springs, Kansas and later raised in Olathe, Kansas. McMillian went to Blue Valley Northwest High School for two years before transferring to Interlochen Arts Academy in 1995. While he was there he studied acting, playwriting and screenwriting; additionally he also was a Postgraduate Student from 1997-1998. He went on to attend Carnegie Mellon University where he earned a BFA in 2002. At Carnegie he performed in a senior class showcase which got him noticed by a talent agent. After McMillian was signed he landed a brief roles on ABC's "8 Simple Rules" and Fox's "Firefly" before getting a role on The WB show "What I Like About You" as the recurring character of Henry Gibson. After having featured and prominent parts in other series he would eventually land his best known role in 2008 as Steve Newlin on the HBO series "True Blood". During this time he also helped co-author comic books based on the vampire franchise. In 2015 McMillian was hired for the recurring role of Tim on The CW musical comedy series Crazy Ex-Girlfriend".
