Michael Oher

Michael Oher is a football player, an offensive tackle, whose NFL career spanned over six and a half seasons. He attended the University of Mississippi and was a first-round draft pick of the Baltimore Ravens in 2009 and a member of the Ravens' 2013 Superbowl championship team. He played for the Tennessee Titans for their 2014 season and then moved to the Carolina Panthers from 2015-2016, where he was a part of the NFC champions' team in Super Bowl 50. Perhaps best known as the subject of Michael Lewis's 2006 book The Blind Side, Oher has led an exciting and poignant life. He detailed his early years, growing up in poverty and facing homelessness on the streets of Memphis, in his first book and memoir, I Beat the Odds.
