Natalie Rathvon, PhD, earned a doctorate in education from George Mason University and a doctorate in clinical psychology from George Washington University, where she is an assistant clinical professor of psychology and supervises graduate students in school-based placements. She provides consultation and staff development to a variety of schools and agencies, including the Archdiocese of Washington, DC, where she is project director for the Early Reading Initiative, and the Center City Consortium Schools, where she is director of accountability and assessment. Dr. Rathvon is the author of Effective School Interventions: Strategies for Enhancing Achievement and Social Competence and The Unmotivated Child: Helping Your Underachiever Become a Successful Student.
