Nick first glimpsed Angkor in a dusty old encyclopedia and knew he had to go. He finally visited in 1995, marking the start of an enduring love affair that has seen him settle in Cambodia and work around the temples in a number of roles, from Lonely Planet cycling-guide author to location manager on Lara Croft: Tomb Raider. Nick lives in Phnom Penh, and makes regular forays up to Angkor for guidebooks, articles, tours and TV work. He also enjoys Siem Reap and has witnessed its transition from a sleepy village to a tourist magnet. The wining and dining scene has definitely improved with age. Nick has written for several guidebooks on Cambodia, including Lonely Planet's Cambodia and Southeast Asia on a Shoestring.
