Peter Riley

Peter Riley, a longtime science teacher, wrote his first book,Life Science, in 1981. He became a full time writer in 1996, and in 2000, he won the TES School Book Award for Secondary Science for Physics Now! 11- 14 (John Murray). In 2004, Peter was shortlisted for the Aventis Science prize forSurvivors Science in the Rainforest. In addition to his science work, Peter has written books for an OUP literacy course, and also wrote a cross curriculum called Hot Topics (Scholastic). The series was a finalist in the Educational Resources Awards in 2009. Peter has also written for a more general audience with several titles for Reader’s Digest Children’s Books and more recently with Cowley Robinson. He lives in Burnley, England.
