S. Kesavan

S Kesavan, a former professor at the Institute of Mathematical Sciences, Chennai, India had served at the Bangalore Centre of the Tata Institute of Fundamental Research. He obtained his degree of Docteur-es-Sciences from the Universite Pierre et Marie Curie (Paris VI), France, in1979. He is the author (or co-author) of more than 50 research papers in leading international journals and has also authored three other books at the postgraduate and research levels. His research interests lie in the theory of partial differential equations. He is a fellow of the Indian Academy of Sciences and the National Academy of Sciences, India.He is a member of the National Board for Higher Mathematics. He is also a Secretary of theCommission for Developing Countries of the International Mathematical Union.
