Sean D. Murphy

Sean D. Murphy holds the Manatt/Ahn Professor of International Law chair at George Washington University Law School and is a Member of the UN International Law Commission. He was formerly the Legal Counselor of the US Embassy in The Hague and an attorney for the US Department of State. Professor Murphy will serve as President of the American Society of International Law from 2018 to 2020.
