Stephen Gray

STEPHEN GRAY was born in Cape Town in 1941, and for many years has been based in Johannesburg. Formerly an academic, he has lived as a poet and freelance journalist since 1990. He edited "The Picador Book of African Stories" (2000) and has published the biography, "Beatrice Hastings: A Literary Life". His short fiction has been collected as "My Serial Killer". In 1999 "Free-lancers and Literary Biography in South Africa" was published with Rodopi in the Cross/Cultures series.
