Access Permissions:
The following access permissions are required for the SmartHome (formerly MSmartHome) app to provide necessary services. If you do not allow them, you can still use the app except for the related services.
- Bluetooth: Find and connect to nearby devices via Bluetooth or BLE.
- Location: Detect home WLAN network information to add device. Check your location to automate actions when location changes. Search for local weather information in "Scene" function.
- Camera: Scan QR codes to add device. Upload photo to report a repair or feedback.
- Album: Scan saved QR codes. Edit your profile photo. Upload a photo to report a repair or feedback.

9 times out of 10 it does not work. "Control failed, try again" even made a 2.4 GHz network just for the 2 aircons. This did the trick for me: "Dear user, Kindly clear the Cache and storage log out and log in again." Was hesitant to do this. But if you login with the same account the devices are added again. Without putting the devices in AP mode etc.

This app just won't open.. at all. Android says it "keeps closing". Have reinstalled it, rebooted the phone, forced the app to stop, tried both WiFi and 4G to open/connect, tried it all. All in all can't get it to work in general (let alone control your unit). That on top of the previous terrible experiences, makes this an absolute horrorshow wishing you picked a different AC brand. Response: please send screenshots and go there and there in the app. IT DOES NOT OPEN. Do these people even read?

Migrated from Midea Air app, which worked fine. All options in the MSmarthome app are zoomed in ridiculously without option to zoom out or scroll. I can no longer control my air-conditioning now and I cannot go back to the Midea Air app, as it is a one way migration. I am screwed with this app. Edit: I have found the cause of the issue with the zooming in the app. The global app zoom on my Samsung phone apparently is causing the behavior. Out of all my apps, this is the only one misbehaving.
