It's been three years and several app updates, but ECOBEE still doesn't understand that their user interface is a deliberately confusing. They have a 300 word webpage to tell you how to turn the fan on. The "thermostat icon" is the size of a dot. The home screen is blank, but they refuse to put on/off switches there. Just layers of useless menu branches that are all unnecessary. Ecobee has failed 100% in their interface design. If you need 300 words to turn the fan on, that means your pro

No history plots of usage? Still not as good as Sensi. The most basic thing you want to know is your usage over time. There is no way to set ecobee fan duty cycle in the different modes. If I'm away ido not care to run the fan 50% of the time that is a waste. The fan mode needs to be part of the modes. The air quality sensor always reads poor and doesn't change. It's a useless sensor and provides no insight.

Never tracks temperature or settings in real time. Every time I open the app, I have to wait for it to refresh in order to see the current temperature. It often fails to update at all, and I have to manually refresh it. The servers also frequently crash, disabling any smart control of the thermostat.
