I'm usually skeptic about mobile games. The fact that I was able to try out chapter 1 for free drew me in, and I'm very glad. Months later I purchased the other chapters and after completing the game, it is worth it. Eldrum treats you to a rich world with great characters, locations and lots of lore. The writing oozes feeling, sensibilities and loving care. The combat is tense and interesting, I gravitated to dual wielding. Consequences meaningful, not too harsh. Very good. A personal favorite!

Fenominal game! The art, the music, the gameplay, oh!.. and the Story! Worth every penny I paid for it. But even if you don't want to spend any money. The first of three books is free, containing multiple hours of gameplay. Which will surely hook you by the end.

The story is engaging, but it's just that -- a story not a real game. 90% of your time is spent clicking through a list of choices that all lead back to what you have to do to progress (as in, you click, see some text and it's greyed out after). About your biggest achievement is choosing what stat to improve (strength, agility) sonin some cases you can open a chest and in others pick a lock, but nothing really holds you back
