When you use Scotiabank’s mobile deposit feature, we will access your device camera to take a picture of your cheque; record the cheque number, account number, institution transit number, and amount; record your device model, as well as its iOS version and manufacturer.


When you download or update this app, or when you apply for, enrol in, or use a service through mobile banking, we may collect information about your computer or device, operating system, internet connection or telephone account, settings, IP address and device locational data, and transaction data, as well as personal information.

I hate this app so much!! Multiple times I have tried to make transfers between my accounts and it's always the same: you need 2 eligible accounts... I do have 2 accounts!!! They're always "working on something " or "this feature is not available at the moment" this is so frustrating!!!! If I had known the app was this terrible I wouldn't have opened an account with them in the first place.

Re: Oct 17th update. Takes a long time to start up if it doesn't crash. Please stop popping up rate me queries as I'm doing a transaction. I lost the ability to write down a reference number because you asked me to give you a rating... Other than that nugget of disappointment everything else is fine. The camera photo deposit function is easier to use. Browsing history of each accounts is easier to navigate. Just please stop being so disruptive while asking for feedback!

I can not switch back to Classic View to change my address. Now I have e to physically go into bank, which is a chore, as i am physically challenged. Or, I will have to try the call-in method to see if they will do it on the phone, which I doubt as it is a security change. That option should always be available for us if you are not going to update the app or even the browser view has the same issue. So, either way, it will not allow me to change my address remotely.
