About this game

ENYO is a tactical roguelike about hook & shield combat.

Grab your hook & shield and descent as Enyo, the greek goddess of war, into an ever changing labyrinth to recover 3 legendary artifacts.

ENYO's gameplay is based on the idea of indirect combat. Enemies can only be defeated by pushing or pulling them into burning lava pits or deadly spiked walls.

While staying accessible through the limited amount of actions a player can take, the core of ENYO are highly tactical turn based battles. To enter the highscore leaderboards for each of the 3 game modes you are tasked to master your weapons and create powerful chain combos through clever maneuvers.

The core gameplay is really good, graphics are very nice too. Unfortunately, you are always one miss-input away from dying to lava or anything else really and there is no undo button (this is probably intentional to make people watch ads). I have probably as many deaths/damage taken by miss-input as by overall mistakes. If that does not bother you and think this is a part of the game then I can confidently recommend you this game.

Perfect puzzle game, almost chess like. Do recognize the need from other reviewers for a better explanation of the enemies and their mechanics. But once you are past that learning curve, every enemy has a limited set of moves that you learn to anticipate. Maybe killing off an X amount of each enemy can unlock their tutorial? Others comment on the AI taking multiple moves sound weird to me, I think it is obvious in the game that some enemies (like the minotaur) can stun and make you skip a turn.

This game is really fun. In a way, it is a trial-and-error game, where you learn which each enemy does and how they interact with each other. However, when you learn these interactions, I find it more fun to go for score streaks, which reset anytime you are hit or stunned. This is no problem until you get up to one enemy, the hammer welding frog. This enemy is very strong and very hard to kill, and it feels unfair at times when you are in a position where being stunned is unavoidable.
