Why WordPress?

There are a lot of blogging services, website builders, and social networks out there. Why create your website with WordPress?

WordPress powers over a third of the web. It’s used by hobby blogs, businesses of all sizes, online stores, even the biggest news sites on the internet. Odds are that many of your favorite websites are running on WordPress.

With WordPress, you own your own content. Other social networks treat you as a commodity, and assume ownership of the content you post. But with WordPress anything you publish is yours, and you can take it with you wherever you’d like.

Whether you need a website builder to create your website, or a simple blog maker, WordPress can help. It gives you beautiful designs, powerful features, and the freedom to build anything you want.

Terrible experience. It is worse than the desktop version of Wordpress (which is already hard to use). There is no way to edit your website visually. The blocks that are in the desktop wordpress editor are not in the app. On top of that, the preview function does not work. So if you've made any changes, you will not be able to see them immediately.

Hey there - Thank you for your feedback! We're working to add support for more blocks in the mobile app, with a release coming soon. This update will make the app more aligned with the desktop version. For the preview issue, we’d love to investigate further — please email us at [email protected].

I am trying desperately to pay for my renewal as I have been getting notices. I've tried every day I know to communicate and get a human to talk about the issues I'm having. I find this super frustrating. My email on my domain no longer works, which I think is the problem. It's impossible for me to renew if your payment program won't allow me, and I can't talk to a human to fix the problem.

Dear WordPress, If you are going to advertise that this is a "blog" or "writing" website, then you must give us ways to end and start paragraphs properly without having to reset all the colors and settings first. Ater you hit enter and start a NEW paragraph, WordPress acts as if you are starting a new blog post. you must go back in and fix the font, the color of the words, the background color, the format of your paragraph. everything. i like pink and black, so this irritates me.

Hi there! Thanks for reporting this. We’ve noted the issue, and our developers are looking into it. We understand the current editor has limitations, which is why we’re working on a new editing experience. It’s in testing, and you can try it out by going to Me → Experimental Features. Any suggestions are welcome! 🙂

What’s new

This month, we've:
- Fixed some Dark Mode bugs
- We've brought the experimental editor to Android – give it a try and let us know what you think!
- Adjusted how users log into WordPress.com – this fixes a long-standing issue where you couldn't log in if you used a Passkey.
