This is the third book in Aimee Easterling’s Samhain Shifters urban fantasy/paranormal romance series. Although several of these characters were introduced in Books 1 and 2 or in some of Easterling’s other shifter series, this story can be enjoyed on its own. And as always, Ms. Easterling has produced a fun, suspenseful shifter story with an exciting plot, plenty of action, suspense, humor, and romance. This was a fun story filled with likable characters. Skye was smart, resourceful, and very devoted to her adoptive mother. Ryder was so sweet with her, and I loved their goofy jokes and banter. They were such a good match, and it was very satisfying to watch them both gain some self-confidence and learn to trust each other. I was also delighted to see Wolfie again—it’s always a pleasure to see him at work. I love that Easterling continues to expand the mythology of her world beyond the usual shifters. We learn a lot more about the fae and their magic in this book. The plot included plenty of suspense, some fun surprises, and a very sweet ending. This is what I refer to as a “popcorn read,” so give it a try if you want an entertaining story that holds your attention but doesn’t require too much effort. This book contains a few curse words, some violence and torture, and sexual suggestiveness. If that won’t bother you, I highly recommend this story. I enjoyed the narration by Austenne Grey. Her pace is good and she’s easy to understand. I enjoyed her character voices, which help bring the story to life. She does a good job conveying the humor of the story. I volunteered to review an advanced reader copy as well as an audiobook provided to me by the author.

The final book in the Samhain Shifter series is just as enjoyable as the first two books. Skye is a lone wolf at the Unseelie Court just trying to save her mom. The fates seem to be against her until she meets her fated mate and his would be pack. Now she has a real chance of not only saving her mom, but Faerie and Earth. Humour and action with an occasional sword fight, fuels the action pack plot. A perfect ending for this trilogy.
