About this audiobook

It was a dark and stormy night as the small town of Willow Creek was engulfed in a thick fog that seemed to swallow everything in its path. The only sound that could be heard was the eerie cawing of the crows that roosted in the tall oak trees that lined the main street. These ancient oaks, their gnarled branches reaching out like skeletal fingers, had stood sentinel over Willow Creek for centuries, witnessing countless storms and secrets.

The fog, unusually dense even for this notoriously misty town, crept through the streets like a living entity. It coiled around streetlamps, dimming their already feeble light, and seeped under doorways, bringing with it a bone-deep chill that no fire seemed able to dispel. The air was heavy with the scent of damp earth and decay, a reminder of the town's proximity to the vast, treacherous swamplands that surrounded it on three sides.

As the townspeople huddled in their homes, trying to escape the bone-chilling cold that seemed to seep into their bones, a shadowy figure crept through the deserted streets. It was a lone figure, cloaked in darkness, moving with a purpose that sent shivers down the spine of anyone who caught a glimpse of it. Those few brave souls who dared to peek through their curtains quickly retreated, their hearts racing, as they caught sight of the figure's fluid, almost inhuman movements.

Old Mrs. Hawkins, the town's resident psychic, sat in her parlor, her rheumy eyes fixed on a deck of tarot cards spread before her. As a gust of wind rattled her windows, she turned over the Death card, her wrinkled face creasing with worry. "Something wicked this way comes," she muttered to herself, reaching for her rotary phone to call the sheriff.
