About this audiobook

A fun family vacation turns into an apocalyptic nightmare when a couple and their young son find themselves trapped in the Irish countryside during an international crisis. With all contact outside the country gone, all electricity and all non-horse-powered vehicles useless, and desperate bands of outlaws roaming the Emerald Isle, the time has come for one soft American family to reach deep within for the reserve of brains and courage to survive.

ends of chapters are missing or out of order on the Audio Book... Parts seem to be read by a different person or as an after thought in post recording.. otherwise good story

Good premise, but narrator barely takes a breath as she rushes her reading through the story. Generally, I've found that authors shouldn't narrate their own work. This is a dystopian survival story. It ends rather abruptly, but it's the first of a series. I'll probably go on to the next in the series (Going Gone).
