Chocolate Roses

Prince Aric grew up in isolation in a royal hunting lodge in the mountains when his father died in a chariot accident and the king's brother took over as regent until Aric came of age to fulfil his destiny as king. His mother was separated from Aric to another part of the kingdom, and the borders were closed out of fear that their lives were in danger of invasion. Now not yet 21, in anticipation of his return to the palace, he is perplexed by rumours of magical chocolate roses appearing in the gardens, which of course cannot be imported while the borders are closed.
