I tried listening to the audio version of the book. It was too painful to continue, so I picked up the written version for an honest review. The audio reader is clear, and easily understandable. However, it does not have a natural flow, and is very difficult to listen to. Sorry, but the reader issue was large enough I could not even follow to listen to the story. My original review can be seen on goodreads. There is not enough room here for it to fit. To summarize, the story was was enjoyable but it needed more fleshing out. There are details I felt were missing. I am interested enough to continue with the series but if the other books are AI narrated I may decide to read instead of listen. The AI narration lacked emotion and there was very little variation in tone and inflection, making it hard to follow the story.
