Enjoyable and easy to slip into the story. Overall lighthearted and refreshing after more serious readings. The author does a decent job of creating this world, the main characters are believable, but not always substantial. I found myself wanting more depth. However, I would recommend this series.

the beginning of book 2 Brooke calls the Chihuahua Penelope in a few seconds later they're asking what to name the dog? Other than that enjoyable book with absolutely no hope at all.
