按語：吾於坊間淘得民國五年翼化堂本之《世界道德》，該書是一本民間的勸善書，為慈西李昌基所著，在網路與坊間均不見。吾初以日誌形式錄之於網路空間，賴得弟子振宇整理齊備。為保存古籍，特將之獻於善書圖書館，以惠澤後世，延續德聲。

序
為人者，天地所容；作惡者，鬼神早知；世盛者，人心所厚；世衰者，人心所薄。有盛而後衰，有衰而複盛，皆人心變化所為。余因乙未年臘月時，我母欲買良鴨而食。余答邇時年忙，且緩買之。不料次年正月而終。是年三月初一年，夢神曰：你不孝母，罪孽重，連生三兒個個死。忽覺驚醒，此夢奇也，莫非前間為鴨事，又恐氣怒言觸母，想必從前夢神指。速往神前，跪下許願，改過前非不胡行，施送燈籠每百盞，想戒我的不孝過。是夜，又得一夢。神曰：你欲除前過，總要送善書，隨手筆劃眉目，必消過矣。惟子壬寅連招，未蔔生死雲爾。
