I really enjoyed this second book in the Hot Holidays series. Once again, it is about Ellie and Adrian and there extreme attraction to each other and their chemistry with each other. Trying to get over her past relationship and it's problematic ending, Ellie continues to try to deny Adrian a chance with her. The communication between the two characters was steamy and funny. I really love reading about these two characters and am rooting for them whole heartedly. I can't wait to read the next book in the series and hope for them to have a happy ending. This book is every bit as good as the Mistletoe Game, but it is also a little sad. The dialogue is still witty and sharp especially when Alison is involved and there is a new character Harker who adds to the dynamic and looks like he might become involved with Alison. The sexy is red hot between Adrian and Ellie, but Ellie has this preconceived notion that all alpha males will cheat and poor Adrian is doing everything he can to show her he is a good guy, even going so far as to defend Ellie’s honour and fighting Marc, but every time Ellie starts to concede she pulls herself back even against her better judgement. This is a fast read but oh so good.

Ellie is still dealing with her ex-boyfriend, when she runs into Adrian again. Adrian comes to her rescue several times. Their relationship wants to blossom, but her trust issues prevent that from happening. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
