About this eBook

Enjoy this FREE cozy romantasy series starter. Magical matchmaking, family secrets, and wicked witches collide in this spellbinding cozy romantasy from mother-daughter writing duo ReGina Welling and Erin Lynn

Some fates are harder to avoid than others.

When your family legacy comes with a body count and a curse that turned Grandma into a lawn ornament, believing you’re normal isn’t really an option.

Lexi’s badass witch ancestors were long revered as Keepers of the Balefire Flame—until a family feud pitted her mother and grandmother against one another. Their infamous magical battle didn’t just destroy each other; it turned the Balefire name into a punchline, leaving Lexi to tend the hearth alone.

The problem? Lexi’s never unlocked more than a whisper of power, one she credits for crafting unbreakable happily-ever-afters for her matchmaking clients, but it’s useless for much else. When it comes to the Balefire, her three well-meaning but troublesome faerie godmothers do all the heavy lifting.

It’s a good thing Lexi’s got a closet full of designer boots and a magical knack for creating romance out of thin air, because her own love life? A total dumpster fire.

That is until she meets Kin Clark, a handsome, charismatic musician with a smile that could melt steel and realizes her secret romantic fantasy might have just come true. Kin wants nothing more than to give her the happily-ever-after she’s never truly believed a wicked Balefire witch deserved—no magic required.

Contented with Kin and her new romance, Lexi is almost willing to allow her looming Awakening deadline slip past, lose access to her magic, and let the fireplace grow cold.

But only almost.

When her former BFF turned arch-nemesis, Serena Snodgrass, starts dropping hints about buried secrets in the Balefire family saga, and a supposedly unbreakable match between clients falls apart, Lexi kicks the search for her missing legacy into high gear. As her magic stirs to life, so does trouble, and things go from zero to what-the-spell faster than you can say, “family drama.”

With the threads of her family’s past unraveling, Lexi must confront her fears, embrace her magic, and claim her birthright—or lose everything to the flames.

Because when you’re Cupid’s daughter, sometimes you don’t just weave romantic fates—you tie them into knots. And if Lexi can’t untangle them, the Balefire flame—and her future with Kin—might burn out for good.

A Match Made in Spell is the first novel in the Fate Weaver series. For fans of Danielle Garrett, Tricia O'Malley, or Amy Boyles, this is a cozy fantasy romance story featuring a matchmaking witch. Enjoy!

Solid, but you can tell the difference in the voice of the authors. Meaning the story should be seamless and the reader shouldn't be able tell who has written what. UNLESS, that was the goal. If so, then that should have been established earlier in the book. I'm also not sure if this story knew what it wanted to be. So much was packed into the plot line in the last chapters, it was really three books in one. Again, probably due to having two authors not in sync. -30-

This the first in a series and it is wonderful. I love the grandmothers and their antics. It is a spell binding novel that you want to keep reading and not put down until you finish it. But seeing as that is not possible I can't wait until evening when I can read a few more chapters. If I am not careful the time gets away with me and it will be 3 in the morning when I finally have to quit reading and go to bed. I can't wait to start the next book which I have purchased all the books in this series so I don't have to wait to start the next book. Please purchase these books if you are interested in witches and get hooked on the author she keeps you wanting more.

About the author

I’m ReGina Welling, author and artist from somewhere just north of the boonies in Maine. I live with my wonderful hubby, a goofy flufferpup named Dash, and a feisty cat called Cricket.

For fun, I whip up stories that’ll whisk you away to magical places or have you on the edge of your seat with a nail-biting mystery.

My mom always said I was born knowing how to read and while that might be a stretch, it feels like the ability just seeped into my pores and made itself at home. Naturally, that love of books translated into a love of writing.

I’d love to hear from you so shoot me an email! [email protected]

I'm Erin Lynn, and I'm a fiction author from no-place-you've-ever-heard-of, Maine.

I inherited the trait of expressing myself most effectively via the written word from my mother, who is ReGina Welling, author of the "Psychic Seasons" and "Earthbound" series of novels. She's also the co-author of the "Ponderosa Pines" mysteries, the "Fate Weaver" series, the "Elder Witch" mysteries, and the "Haunted Everly After" mysteries.

I enjoy reading, drinking coffee, bird-watching, and procrastinating. My life is made complete by my two hilarious teenage sons, my adorable chocolate lab, and three mischievous kitties.

Follow me for unputdownable, romantic, sometimes paranormal, always cozy mysteries.
