Short but sweet, I read this delightful novel over my morning coffee and it put me in a good mood for the rest of the day. Tessa is the family charity case, passed around from one relative to the next and employed as an unpaid household drudge, until she arrives at the home of the Cooper family, where Robin Cooper vows to keep Tessa safe and allow her to find her feet at her own pace. I found the wit and humour in this novelle very entertaining and although I would have run for the hills to escape Mrs Cooper, I did enjoy the characters in this short story. I received a copy of this romance as a gift and this is my honest and voluntary review.

A Ramshackle Start is a fun historical romance by Heather Boyd. This is a very quick read, perfect for those with limited reading time. Ms. Boyd has provided readers with a well-written book. I love the characters. Tessa is packed but isn't looking forward to leaving a place she's enjoyed making her home. Robin's sister will be married and he'll finally be rid of her and now it's his turn for happiness. Tessa and Robin's story is loaded with drama, humor and spice. I enjoyed this book and look forward to my next book by Heather Boyd. This is a complete book, not a cliff-hanger. I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book that I received from Bookfunnel. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
