The truth about the slayers and what they're after comes to light, and it's more frightening than Fiona imagined. She and the council boys are finally figuring things out and learning that they need to work together. I love the interactions between these characters and how each of the council boys brings something different to the table. We get the leader, the protector, the comforter, the joker... no two offer Fiona the same thing. There's chemistry with each one and Becca Fanning has given us a strong heroine, deserving of each one. Once again, we get a can't wait for what's next ending and more questions to ponder.

Fiona and the council boys are great characters and their storyline was well written. The characters are still trying to find out more information on the officials. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

This is the sixteenth book in this series and they keep getting better. I can't wait for more from this author. I received this book as a FREE ARC copy to read and I voluntarily leave this review.
