I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book. Jewel just finished her first year at Harvard, so a night out seems in order. Though not her ideal way to celebrate, she goes. Drinking, dancing and wall to wall bodies are definitely not Jewel's scene, but she's here with a friend so it looks to be a long night. Trying to find a reason to leave, this shy, unassuming law student has no idea what is headed her way. Stefan is a made man within the Bratva. He's done a lot of horrible things, from enforcing to murder. Now he's tasked with kidnapping the one woman he's finding hard to resist. This is not like the hardened assassin. He doesn't have feelings. He only thinks of himself and completing the mission. Jewel is changing him. Jewel has a hold on Stefan's heart but as a soldier, the Bratva owns his body and now they want his soul. SUSPENSEFUL AND DANGEROUS ! This was so good. I love mafia and Bratva books and Alexis does a great job with them. Jewel and Stefan’s story is packed with action and lots of steam. How they meet is unconventional to say the least. This story has suspense, drama, action, and twists and turns. When Stefan really sees Jewel, his attraction to her is strong. He is one of the men in the Bratva that does not believe in harming innocents, especially women or children. They have an attraction to each other and their chemistry is OMFGOSH, hawt as all hell. Stefan vows to protect her with everything he has, including his life. Read and see what happens between these two.
