I've just purchased this book, so that I could read, again, what I remembered to be a great story, but sadly, it doesn't seem anything like the original book that I reviewed 2-3 years ago, after reading it on e-Pub! Either this book has been rewritten or my view of what is a good book has changed dramatically??! The interesting, clever cultural descriptions don't seem as acute and the boringly repetitive and unnecessarily graphic sex scenes, seem more jarring. I skipped across these as fast as I could, as I couldn't feel much 'romance' or chemistry in them. If anything, they seemed like abusive porn. As a result, I've replaced the original 5* review that I wrote back then (a couple of years ago) with this 3* review. I feel cheated ....

I loved the story, but it could have easily been a little longer. Juliette and Torrin's romance and unfolding drama captivated me with the ongoing story of the Lumerian Knights and their hidden royals and how the "Yielding" transforms their human mates. Keep 'em coming, can't wait.

ooooh, What an awesome adventure! There is a lot of suspenseful action right from the start of this incredible story. With life and death hanging in the balance, Juliette is required to complete an almost impossible task to save Torrin. The twists and turns this story takes, are sometimes horrific and sometimes heartwarming, but definitely engrossing. The alien tech is absolutely fascinating! I can’t wait for book number three.
