Captain Jasper Blackmore got more than he bargained for when he destroyed the ship of an enemy pirate. The young woman he rescues is feisty, fiercely independent, and entirely uncooperative, leaving Jasper completely frustrated. The remainer of the voyage is a nonstop battle of wills filled with humor, an aggravated hero, a determined heroine, and romance. An enjoyable story. What an entertaining and adventurous love story. Privateers, Pirates, lords, and a lady. It was full of drama, action, suspense, and much more excitement. I enjoyed how a romance began regardless of the circumstances and other obstacles. That love and happiness could find its way through hardships and trials in life. I highly recommend reading!

Prudence was recklessly headstrong, going on the trip with her father, fighting Jasper when he was rescuing her and continuing to put herself in harm’s way because she was bored. Her hate for Jasper turns to passion, but he worries about risking his heart again and thinks her boring intended is a better match.
