About this ebook

Sergeant Andy McNab recounts the story of the top secret mission that would reveal the secrets of the SAS to the world for the first time.

Their location: Iraq
Their mission: to sever a vital enemy underground communication link, to find and destroy mobile Scud launchers
Their call sign: Bravo Two Zero

When eight members of the elite SAS regiment embark on a highly covert operation, they are each laden with 15 stones of equipment, needing to tab 20km across the desert to reach their objective. But within days, their location is compromised. They engage in a fierce battle. They escape on foot to the Syrian border. Three men die. One escapes.
But four men are captured. For them, the worst is yet to come. Delivered to Baghdad, they are tortured with a savagery for which not even their intensive SAS training has prepared them...

This is a story of superhuman courage, strength, endurance and dark humour in the face of overwhelming odds. It shows just how much it takes to be a member of the SAS.

Read this book year's ago, recently read Bravo 3 Zero equally compelling as this book, so had to read this again, both provide an honest account of these patrols giving a fantastic insight to our special forces and military in general. what these guys went through is incredible, and the reaction from those on the front line is, "just doing what I am paid to do." Awe inspiring to say the least. Read and see for yourself. Whatever these guys are paid isn't enough, I am sure of that.

This is the ultimate guide to learning from someone else's mistakes. If you have any aspirations of becoming a special forces operator, this book will provide all the information of what 'not to do' when an op goes sideways. Read carefully and then compare with 'The one that got away' by Chris Ryan to learn how to actually turn things around when you realise that the cavalry isn't coming.... S.O.Ps are taught and practiced for a reason, when you ignore your training you shouldn't be surprised when everything goes south

I bought this book 4 days ago. Any spare time I got, I was reading this amazing story. From start to finish Andy does a really good job keeping you hooked and wanting to know more and more. Its written in a spectacular way that puts a video in your head of what he is saying. When reading I was actually feeling his pain and puts a lump in your throat. I was nearly crying when he said Mark went down and was clearly dead out right. Then there was parts that made you feel proud of our British Forces. 10☆

About the author

From the day he was found in a carrier bag on the steps of Guy's Hospital in London, Andy McNab has led an extraordinary life.

As a teenage delinquent, Andy McNab kicked against society. As a young soldier he waged war against the IRA in the streets and fields of South Armagh. As a member of 22 SAS he was at the centre of covert operations for nine years – on five continents. During the Gulf War he commanded Bravo Two Zero, a patrol that, in the words of his commanding officer, 'will remain in regimental history for ever'. Awarded both the Distinguished Conduct Medal (DCM) and Military Medal (MM) during his military career, McNab was the British Army's most highly decorated serving soldier when he finally left the SAS.

Since then Andy McNab has become one of the world’s best-selling writers, drawing on his insider knowledge and experience. As well as several non-fiction bestsellers including Bravo Two Zero, the biggest selling British work of military history, he is the author of the best-selling Nick Stone and Tom Buckingham thrillers. He has also written a number of books for children.

Besides his writing work, he lectures to security and intelligence agencies in both the USA and UK, works in the film industry advising Hollywood on everything from covert procedure to training civilian actors to act like soldiers. He continues to be a spokesperson and fundraiser for both military and literacy charities.
