Colton 911: Undercover Heat

A fantastic book! I would expect nothing less from this author! I haven't read the other books in this series but this story kept me turning the pages very fast to see what would happen! Tatum and Cruz were great characters and obviously had fantastic chemistry from the get go. He's a detective trying to solve a drug case that left his previous partner in a coma. She's the owner of a trendy restaurant who just lost her father & uncle to murder. He tells her to there are drugs being run through her restaurant. She tells his that's absurd! And so it begins! Great story, great characters and lots of action! I loved it!

I am new to this series, but knowing the story was written by this talented author, I knew I had to give it a try. Glad I did. Chef Tatum Colton has a trendy and success restaurant. One that is her happy place , especially after the murder of her father and uncle. Detective Cruz Medina is determined to close down the cartel that is apparently moving drugs in and the restaurant. Especially, after the bullets that practically ended the life of his young partner. What he never expected was to meet the very attractive and captivating chef. But the job has to be done and he’s the man to do it. Working undercover as the restaurant’s sous chef not only brings him closer to her employees, but also to Tatum. What happens when the danger escalates and the resolution seems close? What happens when duty, a promise and love puts him at a crossroad? This was an engaging story from the start to the finish. Though a stand alone , I was left wanting to know the story behind Tatum’s sister January. I was entrusted a copy of this book. The opinions expressed are solely my own.
