About this eBook

She’s sworn off dating musicians. She wasn’t expecting him to rock her world.

Mindy Fox is sick of drama. After being dumped by her rockstar boyfriend and losing her record label job in one scandalous swoop, the betrayed A&R talent seeker decides to strike out on her own. And when she hears an audio clip from a struggling songwriter, the former music mogul believes she’s found her first artist in the handsome crooner.

Luke Fletcher hides his paralyzing anxiety behind a charming exterior. But guilt is a constant companion when he conceals his crippling stage fright from the gorgeous entrepreneur who’s giving him a shot at making it big. And if that wasn’t distraction enough, the easy-going guitar player quickly realizes he’s got chart-topping chemistry with the dark-eyed beauty.

Pulled out of her workaholic world by the onslaught of intense family strife, Mindy struggles to stop a feud with her sister from poisoning the fledgling project. And while Luke comes clean about his hang-ups, he fears his attraction to the off-limits woman has become a forbidden refrain.

Can they recompose their future into a delightful duet?

Very entertaining and heartfelt story. Mindy is like a whirlwind of drama, work and family-wise. Luke shows up and adds some calm to the storms. This touches on some sensitive topics in a realistic way which adds loads of emotion but there's enough comical moments to balance things out. The romance is a slow burn which was expected considered Mindy's previous relationship predicament, it balances out the family drama but Luke doesn't have to guess and is so earnest, enthralled and just fits.

I enjoyed reading this book. It worked as a stand alone, though I found myself wishing I had the back stories from the first two books in my head, just for more context. Mindy and Luke both had serious music industry related baggage, and reading about how they navigated that as well as the undeniable attraction to each other made for a wonderful story. I will definitely be looking to read the first books of the series as well as watching for future books. Well done!

I enjoyed this story. Mindy, having lost her job and clout in the music industry due to a scandalous and failed romantic relationship with a musician client, decides to take a chance on establishing her own record label with a new musician, Luke. What she doesn’t know is that Luke has crippling stage fright. Kind of a problem when your contract stipulates live performances and recording requires playing in front of people too. This is an open door story with frequent strong harsh language.

About the author

Mary Frame is a full time mother and wife with a full time job. She has no idea how she manages to write novels, but it probably helps that she's a dedicated introvert. She doesn't enjoy writing about herself in third person, but she does enjoy reading, writing, dancing, and damaging the ear drums of her co-workers when she randomly decides to sing to them.

She lives in Reno, Nevada with her husband, two children, and a border collie named Stella.

She LOVES hearing from readers and will not only respond but likely begin stalking them while tossing out hearts and flowers and rainbows! If that doesn't creep you out, e-mail her at: [email protected]
