About this ebook

The only ice I fear is the frozen wall protecting her battered heart…

Keelie Hayes has fast and hard rules about life and love, which have served her well. She’s kept her heart safe from being broken again, her trust from another painful shattering.

Until I, hockey star Cormac Bouchard, skated onto the scene with my charm and scorching sensual gaze only for her and changed the entire game. Keelie’s no longer sure about her rules, but she’s throwing up every frosty defense possible to keep from dreaming of that coveted shot at forever.

I don't make excuses for my poor choices. I’ve done the work, put in the hours, and served my time in life’s penalty box. Now, I want a place to belong–and to take my Wildcatters to the NHL finals. They’ve become the family I’ve always wanted, and I can’t let them down.

But my iron-willed focus fails me when it comes to the beautiful ice queen I want to melt in the hottest ways possible. If only I could earn her precious trust. I must relinquish my past to be the partner she deserves and the man I want to be.

Easier said than done.

Dare Cormac go all-in on a long-shot love that just might heal both their pasts and redeem a future neither ever dreamed possible? One-click this hockey romance filled with forgiveness, found family, and outrageous laughs today.

Another Shot (ARC) by Alexa Padgett: 4 stars Keelie and Cormac have both been hurt and have a difficult time letting go of the pain, and learning to trust again. Their story is heartwarming as their relationship progresses, but also encompassing roadblocks and doubts along the way. There’s several notable quotes, but this one is my favorite: I found people who supported me, who loved me enough to give back to me—to want my happiness as much as, and maybe more than, their own. —PTators

Blindsided… This one blindsided me, in a totally good way. Cornac wants kids. Unfortunately, five years ago, his ex wife did not. Things went down and he ended up in Houston. Turns out, that was a good thing, cuz five years after his divorce, he meets Keelie, a special needs teacher who also wants kids. She’s got past issues with her parents. All I can say is that Cormac is a true gem and I definitely want more hockey players just like Cornac. Recommend.

Cormac has to break through ice thicker than on the ice rink he skates on to get through to Keelie, and Keely has to learn to put her trust in people who deserve it. Together with Cormac's Wildcatters Family, Keely finds new friends who give her the support she desperately needs, and she learns to traverse the path of love to find acceptance and fulfilment in the right places.
