About this ebook

Unmated werewolves don't normally live past three hundred years old...and billionaire Jack MacGrath is cutting it close. Sure, he has almost everything-the respect of his peers, a mansion in San Francisco, a private jet, and fast cars. But without a mate, Jack's in trouble. Then he sees her. Gorgeous, proud...and his enemy.

Isabelle Connelly is good at hiding things from her father. Like her success as a painter, or the incredibly intense attraction she has to Jack MacGrath. After all, she's royalty and falling for anyone lesser-to say nothing of a rival pack-would be, er, unseemly. Now she must choose between her duty to her family and her pack...or her perfect fated mate.

Each book in the San Francisco Wolf Pack series is a standalone, full-length story that can be enjoyed out of order.

Jack McGrath is in trouble – his time is running out and the answer to his prayers just happens to be his enemy in this tantalizing paranormal romance. Isabelle Connelly is torn between her duty to her family and her perfect fated mate and the reader can’t help but be drawn into the story as the pressure builds and forces her to make a choice. The attraction between Isabelle and Jack smolders with vibrant intensity throughout the story with some sizzling sex scenes but the emotional turmoil packs quite a punch as the relationship is doomed in the face of traditions and duty which captures the reader’s hearts (in my case in favor of Jack). The characters are strong, compelling and claim the reader’s attention from the very beginning while the fast paced, smooth flowing plot captivates readers with lots of suspense, turmoil and romance. The suspenseful situation keeps readers on pins and needles to the very end building lots of excitement throughout the story and has the readers ready to reach into the story and remedy the situation – I certainly wouldn’t mind being Jack’s Luminary, he’s suave and has bit of a bad boy air with a heart of gold and I really wanted to hate Isabelle at a couple of points in the story I just couldn’t because I could understand where she’s coming from and it takes a strong woman to do what she did (sorry no hints). Vivid imagery brings it all to life and really makes it easy to get caught up in the story as the well written scenes draws the reader in and refuses to let go. Once again, Kristin Miller has penned a deliciously suspenseful and romantic tale that held me hostage until the very end and I can’t wait for another visit with the San Francisco Pack.

Isabelle Connelly, from the Irish Wolf Pack, has hidden form her father Gerard that she is an artist who goes by the name of Bella Nolan. Gerard Connelly didn’t think her daughter should indulge in frivolous pastimes as she is destined to become Alpha after his passing, and he has always frowned on her artistic passion. Unfortunately Gerard is deathly ill, and Isabelle has decided before it’s too late to gather all her paintings and show them all to her father. She hears of an auction in San Francisco where one of her paintings will be up for grabs, and she flies from Dublin to America. What she didn’t know was that Jack MacGrath would also try to buy the same painting. The MacGraths and the Connellys have been enemies for centuries because of some Connellys’ shady dealings over the years. Jack MacGrath is dying. He’s past the 300 years’ limit for a werewolf to be without his life mate, and all the money in the world can’t change that. Until he sees Isabelle; he knows right away that she is the one, but Isabelle doesn’t seem to feel it… BEAUTY AND THE WEREWOLF is the second instalment of the San Francisco Wolf Pack, and can definitely be read as a standalone. Ms. Miller crafts another lovely romance, lighter on the paranormal in certain ways this time although Jack’s issue is pivotal to the plot. The author innovates again on the theme of the life mate, and it could have been creepy, Jack could have pressed Isabelle, but this is not how Ms. Miller works, thank goodness! The characters are engaging, the romance is entirely believable, and it is heart-wrenching to experience Jack’s ordeal, and issues are resolved logically. Kristin Miller has penned another fine paranormal romance! I received a complimentary copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
